Marist Theatre Director
Speech and Debate
I spent 20 years in New York City working as an actor, director, scenic carpenter and cook. Among those years were 8 years as Artistic Director of a small Shakespeare company and 4 years as partner in a Scene shop where we built sets for tours, Broadway and Off-Broadway shows.
I returned to Eugene with my wife and two children a few years back and have been at Marist since I got a position as a student teacher, which we built into a full time position the following year.
When not doing theater here at Marist, Tony can often be seen directing, acting, designing and building sets at The Cottage Theatre in nearby Cottage Grove, Oregon.
I spent my first 2 years as a vocal music major at the University of Oregon (which is when I got to know Eugene and met my wife). I then completed my BFA in Acting at Southern Methodist University in Dallas before moving to NYC. I received an MFA in Directing from Brooklyn College, and most recently received my MAT degree with Oregon Teaching certificates in Theatre and English from Western Oregon University.
