Becky Boyd has been teaching Language Arts since 1999. She was born in Japan and lived in Texas before moving to Oregon and graduating from Thurston High School in Springfield. She attended college at the University of Oregon and graduated in 1994 with her BA in English. She went on to earn her MA in Teaching from Pacific University. Boyd previously taught at Marist Catholic High School for four years before moving to Thurston High School for eight, and has happily been back at Marist since 2011.
Boyd lives in Springfield with her husband, Bryon. They are the proud parents of Emily (Marist class of 2015), who is currently studying at Gonzaga University. In addition to teaching, Boyd enjoys live theater and traveling.
